「紐約時報」報導，今天清晨墜落在白宮南坪的1架小型飛行器，是由1名公職人員操作。此人表示，他不慎突破了安全外圍。

紐時報導，這名公職人員並非任職於白宮。他告訴白宮特勤局，他是為了好玩而操作這架「四軸飛行器」，後來失控。

特勤局稍早表示，1具2呎寬的商用四軸飛行器」今晨低空飛進戒備嚴密的白宮，最後墜落在東南側。美國總統歐巴馬與第一夫人正在印度首都新德里訪問。
