民進黨立法院黨團1日傍晚發動突襲占據議場，計畫夜宿立法院，阻擋核四公投案，但議場內沒有空調，悶熱難耐。黨團突發奇想，叫了520台斤的冰塊，搬入議場，終於解決悶熱問題。
晚間10時50分，一輛冷凍貨車駛入立法院，民進黨立委劉建國、姚文智、許智傑、管碧玲、吳秉叡、邱志偉等人，立刻接力把大冰塊一包包搬進議場。姚文智抱著冰塊大喊，「好舒服喔！晚上要抱著睡覺！」
據了解，民進黨團訂了40包以上的冰塊，每包13台斤，至少520台斤；另外，吳秉叡還請人從服務處送來一塊超大帆布墊冰塊，避免冰塊融化弄溼地毯。
