臺中市政府民政局23日舉辦102年度民政業務志工表揚活動，市長胡志強親臨頒獎，共表揚150位績優志工。胡志強說：「有事找我、助人最樂」是志工精神的最佳寫照，他也強調做人重要的不是在於能得到多少，而是能付出多少。
胡市長在會中表示，在臺中他最感激的人就是民政志工團隊，稅務局、警察局、消防局、教育局、環保局都直接面對民眾，但民政戶政單位最常面對民眾，與民眾關係最深。每一次到相關民政單位去看到志工就很安心，感謝大家熱心的服務與付出、奉獻與努力。
民政局表示，志工是市府最貼心的好朋友，有志工朋友們的辛苦付出，各項市政業務才能更加順利推動，為感謝平日在各區公所、各戶政事務所、生命禮儀管理所及孔廟忠烈祠聯合管理所站在服務市民第一線所有的民政志工朋友們，藉由表揚活動傳達臺中市政府深深的感謝與敬意。
接受表揚的志工中，蔡正雄先生原為東勢國中前英語教師，自98年退休後偕同妻子擔任東勢區戶政事務所志工迄今。期間內積極參與志工各項訓練，並不斷充實戶政相關法令知識。於縣市合併整編道路門牌時期，協助宣導門牌整編作業及戶政法令，盡心盡力。
另外，張陳碧霞女士於臺中市南區區公所擔任志工期間，對於民眾熱心主動，協助行動不便的長者搭乘電梯、與民眾皆如朋友般的招呼問候、耐心傾聽他們訴說，並能適時給予專業有禮的指引，以同理心來服務洽公民眾，實為優良志工典範。
