高鐵送珍愛台灣明信片，以自然生態為主題。記者林重鎣攝

為推廣環境保育觀念，台灣高鐵公司與國際珍古德教育及保育協會合作舉辦「珍愛台灣寶貝」系列活動，自10月19日（六）起至12月20日（五）止 ，邀請民眾畫出心中最喜愛的台灣野生動物。投稿獲選者，即可得到2張高鐵標準車廂對號座免費乘車票兌換券；高鐵公司並將於10月19日（六）在高鐵台中站，由國際珍古德協會之「根與芽小組」學童，以可愛的青蛙裝扮發送「珍愛台灣寶貝」明信片，邀請旅客與台灣高鐵一起愛護土地、關懷自然，歡迎踴躍索取。
高鐵公司台中站表示，本次「珍愛台灣寶貝」明信片共有八款不同造型，每套四張（如附圖），分別以動物及自然環境為主題創作，內容包括：大嘴鳥、鹿、甲蟲、蛇、烏龜、鴨子、山峰、海洋等圖案。全部是國立宜蘭特殊教育學校的身心障礙慢飛天使—紀鷗集同學所創作。透過他真誠、生動的筆觸，記錄下對自然環境的關愛，希望藉此增加旅客對野生動物的認識，喚起社會對台灣自然生態的關懷，並於日常生活中落實環境保育，讓擁有生物多樣性之島美名的台灣，永續發展、生生不息。
此外，高鐵公司另將於10月19日（六）起至11/19（二）止，在高鐵全線八個車站之旅客服務台資訊架或公佈欄，提供二萬套「珍愛台灣寶貝」明信片供旅客自由索取。歡迎大家透過明信片寫下祝福的話語，與至親好友分享熱愛自然、關懷生態的心情，與台灣高鐵一起「珍愛台灣寶貝」！
