英國曼徹斯特市的一家肯德基近日拒絕向一名13歲的男孩提供餐飲服務，理由是因其年齡太小可能會亂扔食物。事後，該餐廳向該男孩一家賠禮道歉，並向他們提供免費晚餐。

國際在線據美國合眾國際社報導，據悉，事發當天，13歲巴特沃斯和8歲的弟弟韋德在其父親的陪同下，來到該餐廳用餐。當巴特沃斯點好餐後，卻被服務員拒絕提供服務。對方稱，因為他的年齡未滿18歲，可能會做出亂扔食物的調皮舉動，給餐廳帶來麻煩。

巴特沃斯說：『我非常驚訝，我只是想吃一個「Mega Box」，但是他們不肯給我。』而他的父親對此也十分不滿。事後，該餐廳向他們賠禮道歉。他們表示，由於之前發生過年幼顧客亂扔食物的事件，因此餐廳才不得不『出此下策』。
