雖然當初拍攝及製作困難重重但是末日之戰當時上映取得了很亮眼的票房數字末日之戰還是Brad Pitt生涯票房最高的電影電影公司也準備推出續集最新消息是請到奧斯卡提名的編劇Steven Knight來編寫劇本 Steven Knight曾經寫過「黑幕謎情」「全面鎖定」等片並自編自導過Tom Hardy主演今年頗受好評的「Locke」末日之戰續集導演則是執導過「浩劫奇蹟」的J.A.
