釀酒人連敗給海盜2場後，25日推出表現穩定的Mike Fiers登板，他繳出7局失2分優質內容，雖然終結者K-Rod在9局上被轟出陽春砲，但仍守住勝利，終場釀酒人就以4比3險勝海盜，終止近期的3連敗

因Matt Garza受傷進入傷兵名單而獲得先發機會的Mike Fiers，雖然速球平均只有90英哩，但靠著控球與尾勁，再加上變化球的輔助，仍能有效的壓打者。

Mike Fiers此役主投7局只因Starling Marte的2分彈丟分，另送出7次三振與1保送，拿下本季的第4勝(1敗)，Fiers近期4場狀況相當好，防禦率只有1.29，28局裡僅有4次保送，另外送出32次三振。

「實在是令人欽佩，」釀酒人主砲Ryan Braun說，「我不認為在這之前有人可以預見他的崛起並知道他能在投手丘上有好表現。」

釀酒人首局靠著連續3支安打取得2分先馳得點，海盜再下半局由Starling Marte開轟將比數扳平，2局上釀酒人則以連續安打，其中包含Jonathan Lucroy領先國聯的第43支二壘安打，再將比數超前成4比2。
