APPLE將比照三星、HTC、SONY等廠商新款旗艦機發表策略，同時考量目前iPhone區分兩種規格情況，蘋果將調整iPhone新機發表時間，將分別在上、下半年間各推一款新機，藉此爭取更多使用族群，同時維持市場新鮮感。
根據stableytimes網站引述消息來源說法，表示蘋果預期將在2015年舉辦兩場iPhone新機發表會，其中將在2015年春季揭曉Apple Watch上市時程時，同步發表更新款iPhone 6s，而將在秋季期間公布新款iPhone 7。
