廚藝精湛　印度大廚獲澳洲居留權

據澳洲媒體7日報導，近日一名出生於印度的大廚憑藉出眾的廚藝，贏得澳洲永居權，這名現年30歲的新晉澳洲永久居民名叫普沃爾(Gurpreet Purewal)，出生於印度旁遮普省，2008年來到澳洲，2009年成為南澳阿德萊德Goodwood Park飯店的一名廚師，一直工作至今。　　

期間，他曾在阿德萊德酒店管理培訓學院(Quality Training and Hospitality College)學習。而他所在飯店的老闆羅傑斯(Fran Rogers)曾嘗試招募更多廚師，但沒有一個人能與普沃爾相比。羅傑斯稱那些人不是缺乏經驗，就是無法滿足他們要求的工作時間，更重要的是沒有人的廚藝能比得上普沃爾。　　

沃普爾2013年7月以無人能比的廚藝技能為由申請在澳永居權。歷經15個月的調查磋商，澳移民審查委員會(Migration Review Tribunal)於去年12月決定授予普沃爾澳洲永居權。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
