歐巴馬稱讚達賴喇嘛是「好友」

法新社報導，美國總統5日稱西藏精神領袖達賴喇嘛是「好友」，歐巴馬是在兩人象徵性的首次公開相遇中如是表示。兩人在華府舉行的全國祈禱早餐會相遇，預料這次相遇定會引起北京不悅。

歐巴馬告訴祈禱早餐會約3000名參加者說：「我要特別歡迎一位好友。他是體現憐憫心的強大典範。他激發我們爭取人類的自由與尊嚴。」

這是歐巴馬與達賴喇嘛首次一起公開露面。達賴喇嘛並未和歐巴馬同坐主桌，但達賴喇嘛的座位離講台不遠。
