全球香檳酒的主要產地─法國，由於國內經濟疲軟，使香檳的銷量大減；儘管外銷熱絡，但估計今年法國香檳總銷售量仍減少3-4%，加上去年也減少4.4%，已連續兩年下降。全球第3大香檳品牌羅蘭香檳酒莊財務長佩綠亞表示，「過去兩年歐洲的情況非常艱難，主要是法國，儘管歐洲以外的銷售情況仍然穩固。」法國香檳酒51%供內銷；據路透調查指出，今年10月銷售量減少逾6%，年底也無好轉跡象。
