航班座位猛縮水　乘客苦不堪言

【李寧怡／綜合外電報導】《紐約時報》近日報導，20年來美國各航空公司經濟艙座椅椅距從86公分縮小至76到81公分之間，部份廉價航空更縮至71公分，但過去40年美國人平均噸位增加9公斤，腰圍寬了2.5吋，讓許多越來越胖的美國人苦不堪言。

飛機座椅製造商B/E Aerospace稱，如今就是要盡可能塞進更多座椅，「大家都想要更多機上空間，但大家也都想要具競爭力的票價。」以美國最大國內線航空的西南航空為例，幾年前就縮減椅背空間，讓飛機再塞進1排共6張座椅，每年營收可增加約60億台幣。
