Christopher Nolan御用攝影師Wally Pfister首度執起導演筒，結合了Johnny Depp、Rebecca Hall、Kate Mara、Paul Bettany，以及Nolan導的長期班底Morgan Freeman與Cillian Murphy等強大卡司。劇情敘述由Will Caster帶領的科學家團隊研發出新型的人工智慧「Transcendence」，因遭到反科技組織攻擊而陷入生死之際，女友為了拯救他便將他的人腦接上電腦，也因此引發無法挽回的嚴重後果。如果你猜想這會是一部接近Nolan導風格的電影的話，那可能會有違你的期待，導演Wally Pfister表示雖然他是習自於Nolan導，但因為他的年齡較長，所以風格會更接近1970年代的前《星際大戰》時期，比較類似於1973年的科幻電影《超世紀諜殺案 (Soylent Green)》。 http://youtu.be/QheoYw1BKJ4
