　　在上週末《Final Fantasy XIV》有一位青年突發重病在床與病魔搏鬥， Gilgamesh 伺服器的人們得知了這像消息，透過遊戲聚集在一起同為這位在遊戲中名為 Codex Vahlda 的玩家祈福，而影響到了其他伺服器玩家也一同加入祈福行列。

　　Codex Vahlda 是 50 級的 29歲吟遊詩人玩家，但他上週因被發現昏迷而送往醫院，他的好友 Pattmyn 在 Reddit 論壇上的《Final Fantasy XIV》報告 Codex 的病況是因為腎功能衰竭引起的併發症導致，而這種機率只有百萬分之一會發生，但還是讓 Codex 遇見了。

　　消息傳出後，一位 Merlblyss Bloesthal 的角色開始出現在 Codex Vahlda 的公會前靜坐著懷念即將離大家遠去的戰友，隨後更多 Gilgamesh 伺服器的玩家來到了 Codex Vahlda 所在的公會為他祈福，更有直播主 Spicule 開啟實況紀錄了這整個守夜祈福的過程。緊接著 Balmung、Excalibur、Hyperion 、Brynhildr伺服器也加入祈福行列。
　　Pattmyn 將守夜祈福活動的紀錄帶到病房讓 Codex 的家人知曉有這麼多不認識的玩家在為他祈福，雖然最終 Codex Vahlda 最終無法康復，並在與家人朋友道別後離去，但他的角色在遊戲當中，被公會會長授予「不朽的賽蓮」（Immortal Siren）位階，永遠的被戰友懷念著。
