紐西蘭第四季經濟持續擴張，年成長幅度甚至高於全球金融危機前的水準。

紐西蘭統計局周四公布，去年第四季 (12月31日止) GDP 季升 0.8%，但按年升幅則達 3.5%，創 2007 年第三季以降最高水準。

根據《華爾街日報》對 12 位經濟學家的調查，此 2 個數據大致符合預期，分析師先前估計紐西蘭第四季 GDP 季升 0.8%、年升 3.4%。

紐西蘭零售和住房以 2.3% 成長幅領導第四季經濟成長，係因國際旅客消費增加 15%。紐西蘭家庭支出也提高 0.6%。

統計局發言人Gary Dunnet 表示：「這是自 2011 年世界盃橄欖球賽（Rugby World Cup）以來，我們從沒見過的零售和住房最大成長幅度。」
