【大紀元3月31日報導】（中央社東京31日綜合外電報導）切洋蔥不再怕流淚了，日本好侍食品公司表示，已研發出不流淚洋蔥。

科學家表示，已設法抑制切洋蔥時會產生的一種物質，減少使人流淚的氣體產生。

日本好侍食品集團（House Foods Group）在新聞稿中說，他們以離子照射洋蔥，大幅降低某種(酉每)的生成，這種(酉每)正好是洋蔥讓人流淚的關鍵。

好侍食品研究人員因發現洋蔥為何使人流淚背後的生化過程，獲得2013年搞笑諾貝爾獎（Ig Nobel Prize）。
