Java Runtime Environment是由昇陽公司所開發的，廣泛用於網路銀行，和包含Applet的網頁，是一個裝機時必備的軟體之一。但必須要注意的是，此軟體在安裝時，不會覆蓋舊版的環境，故在安裝時，若有時間可先手動移除舊版的環境。
