臺南大學現任校長黃秀霜即將於今年8月1日卸任，經校長遴選委員會今日開會決議，選出該校教育學院黃宗顯院長擔任光復後第11任校長，南大將報請教育部聘任，由新任校長領航，再創南大百年輝煌。

本次南大校長遴選，共有9位候選人參選，歷經治校理念說明及全校教師徵詢意見投票等程序，共有5位通過徵詢意見同意票數門檻，遴選委員會邀請5位校長候選人出席會議簡報並接受詢答，之後經充分討論、審慎評估並進行無記名投票，最後由黃宗顯獲得過半同意，當選新任南大校長。

黃宗顯教授，現任國立臺南大學教育學系教授兼教育學院院長，畢業於美國俄亥俄州立大學教育政策與領導系博士，歷任南大系所主管、進修部主任、主任秘書、院長等職務，行政經驗豐富；個性溫文儒雅，具在地關懷、國際視野與高度熱忱，深耕美感教育。
